History

The story of Partagas begins with Don Jaime Partagas y Ravell, a Catalan native who migrated to Havana in 1831 and founded the La Flor de Tabacas de Partagas factory in 1845. Don Jaime  quickly acquired some of the finest tobacco plantations in Vuelta Abajo, renowned as Cuba's prime tobacco-growing region. He swiftly gained acclaim for his impeccable tobacco selection, innate talent for aging, and masterful blending techniques. Tragically, Don Jaime was murdered on his own plantation in 1868, allegedly by a jealous romantic rival. Despite his untimely demise, the brand continued to have great success. Though the factory changed hands multiple times over the years, including a period under the ownership of Ramon Allones, it was ultimately seized by the Cuban government in 1960.

Partagas cigars continue to be crafted at the Partagas Factory, now known as Francisco Perez German. Easily one of Cuba’s most popular brands, Partagas boasts some of the highest sales among all Cuban cigar brands, owing to their employment of ultra-premium tobaccos and meticulous cigar-making processes. This dedication to quality has not gone unnoticed as the brand has garnered numerous accolades over the years, including over 8 Top 25 Cigars of the Year Awards.

While blends such as Lusitanias, Serie D., and Serie E remain beloved by Partagas fans, the brand now offers a wide variety of high-quality cigars to cater to diverse tastes. Expertly crafted by Cuba's finest torcedores, Partagas cigars frequently exhibit richly complex flavor profiles with medium to full-bodied strength. If you've heard enough, waste no time and order your Partagas cigars today to embark on an unparalleled smoking experience.
