Released in 2002, this corona gorda is one of the most famous cigars in the world, especially among the Cohiba brand and certainly in the Siglo series. It also happens to be one of the biggest of the series at 5 7/8 inches by a 52 ring gauge. While it has a medium to full body, it is somewhat on the milder side of Cohiba classics and in the best way. It’s a cigar that doesn’t need to overly flex its muscles as it’s complete with intricate flavors throughout.
A well-rounded mixture of espresso bean, brown sugar and even mixed fruit mingle together in a creamy smoke. According to Habanos, the maker of all Cuban cigars, Cohibas are special because the filler undergoes extra fermentation. This gives it a more thoroughly smooth and mellow smoke that doesn’t burn the mouth and rather, provides a gorgeous thick but light smoke. This is a must-have in your humidor and one that will be quite literally the most popular smoke in the room.
