The famous Siglo series was created in 1992 to celebrate 500 years since Columbus first landed in the Americas. Since then, Cohiba has created a total of six in the series with the Siglo IV being one of the longer of the bunch. And speaking of bunches, the cigars also come packaged in a bundle held together by a gold ribbon in boxes of 25.
When it comes to the flavor, the corona gorda has plenty of it. Every bit of its 5 5/8 inch by 46 ring gauge body. It’s an exceptionally attractive cigar with a light brown wrapper that, in this case, does indicate its medium strength. Over the course of more than an hour, it will burn steady and consistently bring notes of cocoa, spice, and a bit of vanilla to the palate. This is one you can smoke any time of day and even leave down for a bit and come back to. Pair it with a nice glass of whiskey or a bold ale.
