This cigar is another piece of the Linea Maduro 5 collection – one of three. While the Genios is a bigger robusto, the Magicos lists as a petit robusto at only 4 1/2 inches. It still carries a lot of power and actually tastes a bit stronger and spicier than its sibling. Open puffs of plentiful smoke bring a lot of sweetness to the palate from its dark Maduro wrapper, while earthy spices make the taste profound.
The wrapper, taken from the very top of a shade grown plant, is cured for 5 years giving it that dark chocolate color. That’s why to no surprise some of the first flavors are chocolate – both sweet and bold – with the flavors you would get from a spiced chocolate bar paired with a coffee. Speaking of pairing, this cigar goes perfectly with something that has strong, spicy flavor. It’ll burn for about an hour, which is a nice amount of time for good conversation and a drink (or two).
